Pour the milk into a pot and heat it over medium heat until it comes to a gentle boil
Stir in the lemon juice and reduce the heat. Continue stirring gently.
As the milk curdles, you'll see white curds separate from the greenish whey.
Line a strainer with cheesecloth and strain the curds, saving the whey for other uses if desired.
Rinse the curds under cold water to remove any lemony taste and help them firm up.
Gather the cheesecloth and shape the paneer into a block. Press with a heavy object for 1-2 hours.
Unwrap your homemade paneer, slice it into cubes, and use it in your favorite recipes.
